Moran Yacht & Ship is delighted to announce the launch of the 200’ (61m) Royal Hakvoort Shipyard Project SIDNEY in Monnickendam, Netherlands.
Moran Yacht & Ship sold the project, wrote the technical specifications, and oversaw the complete construction of the vessel. One of eleven projects currently under construction, Project SIDNEY is the second of four new construction launches scheduled for 2021.
Commissioned for an experienced and passionate yacht owner, Project SIDNEY features both interior and exterior design by Sinot Yacht Design. This is the 7th project Moran Yacht & Ship has sold in cooperation with the Royal Hakvoort Shipyard.
Project SIDNEY accommodates up to 12 guests and a crew of 19. Five guest cabins are located on the main deck, with an impressive full-beam suite taking the spotlight on the designated owner’s deck. The owner’s suite is flooded with light from large windows and a skylight, and features a private dining area and Jacuzzi on the foredeck.
Throughout, Sinot Yacht Design has created a clean and classic interior focusing on textures and natural elements, including oak, walnut, and gorgeous leather detailing. From the cinema room on the lower deck to the large family-style open galley on the main deck, the design elements feature a neutral material palette, outstanding Italian marble and rich fabrics that work in harmony to create a rich, warm environment.
In regards to her technical details, Project SIDNEY is powered by twin Caterpillar 3512E engines, She has a top speed of 14.7 knots, a cruising speed of 12.7 knots and an autonomous range of 3,800 nm at cruising 12 knots. Equipped with a forward facing FarSounder sonar, ECDIS chart system, NAIAD zero speed stabilizers and a sate-of-the-art dynamic positioning system, Project SIDNEY is built to explore.
