The winners of the World Superyacht Awards 2024, were revealed this week. ENTOURAGE takes home the Neptune trophy for: Displacement Motor Yachts 500GT to 999GT
Although there were three nominees for this category, Entourage emerged as the clear winner, with the judges praising it as “a fantastic evolution of the Amels 60.” They were astounded by the yacht’s superb construction, outstanding technical capabilities, and sophisticated lines created by designer Espen Øino, in addition to the extent of exterior customization. “This is a boat designed for having fun,” one judge noted. The owners of ENTOURAGE placed a high value on enlarging the outside areas for entertaining and spending time outside.
Engineered for Fun
ENTOURAGE is distinct from other 60 meter yachts, even though it is a part of the Amels 60 Limited Editions series, because the owner requested that the sundeck and bridge deck be extended, as well as extending the geometric windows. When building a semi-custom yacht, changing such basic exterior features is a more uncommon request, and the judges also found it commendable that the yard faced significant structural and engineering challenges in completing the task. Although the 1.5-meter extension of these two aft decks may seem insignificant, it increases living area and gives the impression that the yacht is longer. ENTOURAGE excels at making optimal use of available space, which includes toy and large tender storage on the foredeck.
This is the second award for ENTOURAGE, it won a Design & Innovation award for Best Interior Design – Motor Yachts, 500GT and above.
