The APA, or Advanced Provisioning Allowance, is an additional fee paid on top of the base charter fee. The APA covers non-fixed costs, such as food, drink, fuel, and berthing costs. Most charter yachts can take a maximum of 12 guests – even if cabin numbers enable a larger number of guests. This is due to maritime law and additional regulations that are required for a luxury yacht to carry more than 12 guests. However, there are some charter yachts that can accommodate more than 12 guests.
