Oceanco

In 2002, Greek shipping magnate Theodore Angelopoulos acquired Oceanco, steering the company towards a new era of growth and specialization in the niche market of 80-meter-plus yachts. This strategic shift led to the creation of the Y700 series, which includes some of Oceanco’s most iconic builds, such as the 82-meter ALFA NERO.

2010 marked another significant milestone when Dr. Mohammed Al Barwani purchased Oceanco. Under his leadership, the shipyard expanded its facilities in Alblasserdam, Netherlands, to accommodate the construction of even larger and more complex yachts. This expansion included the addition of new dry docks capable of building yachts up to 140 meters in length.

Oceanco’s commitment to innovation and sustainability is evident in its recent projects. The shipyard has embraced green technology, responsibly sourced materials, and eco-friendly equipment to reduce its environmental impact. This forward-thinking approach has positioned Oceanco as a leader in the superyacht industry, not only for its luxurious designs but also for its dedication to environmental stewardship.

Today, Oceanco continues to push the boundaries of yacht design and engineering, delivering some of the world’s most advanced and luxurious superyachts. With a focus on quality, innovation, and sustainability, Oceanco remains at the forefront of the industry, creating bespoke yachts as unique as their owners.
